Coding Page Titles and Meta Descriptions

The TITLE tag is a part of a web page that is displayed prominently in search engine listings. It should be 65 characters or less and use proper case. it should state the purpose of the page. This is an extremely important place to place keywords.
The META DESCRIPTION tag is a place where you can place about two English sentences (about 150 characters) which describe the page. Use proper English and sentence capitalization. The description is used verbatim (in most cases) in Google search results.
If you do not follow this rule, Google will ignore them and invent text of its own, which likely will not be as good as the text you could provide yourself
Where do these go? If you view the source code of a web page, at the top you will see a tag that says <HEAD>. The title and meta description tags go right after it.
If you use a content management system, you will probably find a place to enter the title and meta description under "page properties" or something similar.
Please Note: Neither titles or descriptions should be ALL CAPS. In particular, descriptions should not consist of marketing hype and should not have exclamation marks. Example: "We are the best!!!! Our products are great!!!" Phrases like this tell the visitor nothing about what your products or services are, and they will not click through to your site.
